Getting Started

Welcome to Spritz! This guide will help you get up and running in a few minutes.

What is Spritz?​

Spritz is a messaging app built for Web3. You can:

  • Chat with friends using end-to-end encryption
  • Video call with crystal-clear quality
  • Go live and stream to your friends
  • Create AI agents that can help with anything
  • Join channels to discuss topics you care about

Sign In​

Spritz offers several ways to sign in. Choose whichever works best for you:

  1. Go to app.spritz.chat
  2. Click "Connect Wallet"
  3. Select your wallet (MetaMask, Rainbow, Coinbase, etc.)
  4. Sign the message to verify ownership
  5. You're in!

Option 2: Passkey (Fastest - No Wallet Needed)​

  1. Click "Sign In with Passkey"
  2. Use Face ID, Touch ID, or Windows Hello
  3. A secure wallet is created for you automatically
  4. You're ready to go!

Option 3: Email​

  1. Click "Sign In with Email"
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your inbox for a 6-digit code
  4. Enter the code
  5. Done!

Option 4: Digital ID (World ID / Alien)​

  1. Click the "Digital ID" tab
  2. Choose World ID or Alien
  3. Complete the verification
  4. Your verified identity is linked to your account

Set Up Your Profile​

After signing in, personalize your profile:

  1. Click your avatar in the top right
  2. Go to Settings → Profile
  3. Add a username (this is how friends find you)
  4. Add a bio to tell people about yourself
  5. Upload a profile photo or create a pixel art avatar

Create a Public Profile​

Want a shareable profile page?

  1. Go to Settings → Profile
  2. Toggle "Enable Public Landing Page"
  3. Your profile is now at spritz.chat/user/YOUR_ADDRESS
  4. Add widgets to customize your page (music, links, photos, and more!)

Add Friends​

By Username​

  1. Go to the Friends tab
  2. Click "Add Friend"
  3. Enter their username
  4. Send the request

By QR Code​

  1. Click the QR icon in the Friends tab
  2. Show your QR code or scan theirs
  3. Instant friend request!

By Wallet Address​

  1. Click "Add Friend"
  2. Paste their wallet address (0x...)
  3. Send the request

Start Chatting​

Direct Messages​

  1. Go to the Chats tab
  2. Click a friend's name
  3. Start typing!

Group Chats​

  1. Click "New Group"
  2. Add friends to the group
  3. Name your group
  4. Start the conversation!

Make Video Calls​

1-on-1 Calls​

  1. Open a chat with a friend
  2. Click the video icon 📹
  3. Wait for them to answer
  4. Enjoy HD video calling!

Group Calls​

  1. Open a group chat
  2. Click the video icon
  3. Everyone in the group can join
  4. Supports up to 10 participants

Go Live (Livestream)​

Share moments with all your friends:

  1. Click "Go Live" on your dashboard
  2. Allow camera and microphone access
  3. Add a title (optional)
  4. Click "Start Streaming"

Your friends will see a LIVE badge next to your name and can tune in!

Explore AI Agents​

AI agents are like smart assistants you can chat with:

Use Public Agents​

  1. Go to the Agents tab
  2. Browse or search for agents
  3. Click one to start chatting
  4. Ask questions, get help, have fun!

Create Your Own Agent​

  1. Click "Create Agent"
  2. Give it a name and personality
  3. Add knowledge (optional) - URLs to docs, websites, etc.
  4. Choose visibility (private, friends, or public)
  5. Start chatting with your creation!

Join Channels​

Channels are public spaces to discuss topics:

  1. Go to the Channels tab
  2. Browse available channels
  3. Click "Join" on any channel
  4. Start participating in the conversation!

Organize with Chat Folders​

Keep your chats organized:

  1. Long-press (or right-click) on a chat
  2. Select "Add to Folder"
  3. Choose an emoji folder (or create one)
  4. Your chats are now organized!

Wallet & Payments​

View Your Wallet​

  1. Go to Settings → Wallet
  2. See your balances across all supported chains
  3. View transaction history

Buy Crypto​

  1. Go to Settings → Wallet → Buy Crypto
  2. Click "Buy with Card"
  3. Choose amount and complete purchase via Coinbase Pay

Tips & Tricks​

  • Dark Mode: Toggle in the navbar (sun/moon icon)
  • Push Notifications: Enable in Settings to never miss a message
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Press ? to see all shortcuts
  • Pin Important Chats: Long-press a chat and select "Pin"
  • Mute Chats: Long-press a chat and select "Mute"
